Therapy for Men
Most of the men I work with are thoughtful, successful men who want to better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns getting in the way of intimacy. Being capable doesn’t always mean understanding yourself. Maybe you’re learning about sex and who you are inside of relationships. Or maybe your marriage is struggling and you don’t feel seen. Perhaps sex has always felt complicated for you because of your kinks. An affair has changed everything. Or you’ve reached a point where you can no longer ignore the feeling that something in your life—just isn’t working.
Therapy with me is about understanding what is actually driving your behavior, relationships, and decisions. I’m engaged, direct, and I’ll challenge you when it matters—but I’m not interested in shaming you into change.
The goal is to understand yourself with enough honesty that you have more choice in what happens next—in your relationships, your sexuality, and the kind of man you want to be.
My approach is evidenced-based through empirically supported research. I have experience at helping Chicagoland men through the following issues:
Conflict Communication/Emotional Communication
Modern Dating
Sexual Exploration & Sexual Identity
Erectile Dysfunction/Premature Ejaculation
Out of Control Sexual Behaviors
Difficulty feeling and expressing emotions
Difficulty identifying what you need in relationships
How to tell your wife/partner about your affair.
Fatherhood & Coparenting
Blending Families
First Responder Traumatic Stress
My approach is NOT right for you if any of the following is true:
You do not intend on telling the truth in therapy.
You are addressing non-consent violations.
You cannot commit to a sex life that values safety for all.
You are currently facing a custody or legal battle.
These are not client cases I work with, but I am happy to provide experienced referrals.
